Manchester City's Holland gives 20 million won train tickets to 200 fans of his former team
Former Norwegian team Brune is about to advance to the playoffs for the first time in 17 years.
Erling Holland, a world-class goal scorer for Manchester City in the English professional soccer Premier League (EPL), gave away transportation expenses to 200 fans of his home team during his youth in Norway.
According to foreign media such as ESPN on the 23rd (Korean time), Holland paid more than $16,000 (about 20 million won) for train tickets for 200 fans of Brune FK, a second-division team playing in an away game in the Norwegian league promotion playoffs.
Brune is preparing for its first promotion playoff game in 17 years since 2006 on the 26th.
Holland decided to cover a large amount of money for fans who hesitate to travel away due to financial difficulties.
Holland spent his youth days with Brune and made his professional debut in 2016 at the age of 16.
He later moved to Norway's prestigious Molde FK, then played in Salzburg (Austria) and Dortmund (Germany) before wearing the Manchester City uniform last year.
Holland was the top scorer in his EPL debut season with 36 goals, and scored 50 goals in 52 official games.
He also leads the league in scoring this season with 13 goals. 19guide03.com
